I told some people about this forum and how I could get all the informations I need with it... but this is more than I could ever expect!!! a_21 a_2

en français je dirais quelque chose comme : c'est incroyable de trouver des personnes aussi agréablement serviable et efficace, but I'm too tired to try to translate that now...

Thank you very much for the reservations,
and I still feel stupid with the phone number (I try mainly 0039 345etc, because with belgian number, you have to take off the zero when calling from another country - and I didn't phone another country since maybe 10 years, thank you internet!)

And finally, with this chairlift information, I feel much more confident for the first day - because I will be really tired I think, regarding my flight's hour and the fact that I've been late in bed almost every day of the week... Walking 5 1/2 hours on a day, it's ok, but on an afternoon, for the first day, it was quite a challenge.
Well walking 5 days on my own is a challenge enough!! a_39

So again, grazie mille mille mille,

emmi

Travel agencies should learn from Paolo's efficiency, great!

Real time updates from the Valley: emmi (whose real name is... xxxx - n.d.a.) has been sighted on sunday afternoon between passo Selletta and rif. Calvi by a couple of bikers a_18 (mountain-bike-valle-brembana-f54/dom-lug-longo-selletta-calvi-armentarga-val-sambuzza-t3661.html) - she was quietly enjoying her trek, and confirmed that she has a camera with her, so she'll post some photos when she'll be back home... a_45

Hi,

That's it, I'm back home, back to work - but with the feeling that I've been 2 weeks away, and that's great!!

My trek, with my light backpack, my strange way of passing waterstream (yes, I can read a little italian a_6 ), was just completely... awesome, fantastic, gorgeous, wonderful, etc, etc, etc...

First of all, I did it - and I'm so proud of me! Specially with almost every people I met saying to me "gira sola?, wouaouh" (or something like that - you go alone, you aren't afraid, ...).

The days of walking were just perfect. And the great lonelyness on the path just perfect too (for example day 3, I walked all day long, and met 4 people of group of people...).
Nights in the rifugi also, specially the first one (even if it's the one that I slept the least).

I took 147 pictures... but a lot of them aren't so great - my camera don't like landscape...

Day 1

I arrive after a big storm, the sky was grey and cloudly, but no rain.
Thank you paolo's pictures, I easily find my way (and that was not so easy for 2 others girls that I met in the rifugio at night).

And I would like to put some pictures, but... how can I do that???

Hi Emmi,

I am happy you enjoyed your trip through Orobie!

We have a special section in this forum with all the details for publishing pictures by means of "imageshack" site, but this is in Italian and quite long to translate.

I try to summarize those instructions here.

First of all, upload your images here:

http://imageshack.us

and choose 800x600 as resolution.

Sharperimage provides a link for each picture you uploaded. Then you should open your new message and insert there those links provided by Sharperimage. Each link should be between symbols, in order to visualize directly the images in your new messages. You can activate these symbols automatically by clicking on "Img" button you find in the menu you see above when you are writing your new message.

Please insert maximum three pictures for each new message you create.

I hope this helps.

Bye,
Stefano
