Hi Gunter (alias gkwelz)

Welcome in this Forum by the staff.

I'll try to answer you, about the directon to the 'Arco della Valle del Pegherolo'.

to get there you should take a dirty road that starts from the village of Piazzole (palced at the hairpin bend of Piazzatorre).
It's the only dirty road that ascends.

In few mt. the dirty road becomes a path that, be careful, disappeare on the last track.

I remember you that on this route there is no water and that it's pretty difficult (slippery path and with some natural obstacle).

Take Care and enjoy on this adventure.

Thank you for the answer.

Does the road goes direct to the natural arch?

In the case, the road is wet and impassable with a normal passenger car,
how long is the distance to hike?

Thank you
Gunter

no, no absolutely not.

the road doesn't go there. Consider this road just like a "start".

You have to have a long time (the time depends by you ability and your training) trekking (hard trekking) in a wild (really wild) area.

I think that the best period to have it is May/June or September/October

Hi Gunter,

look at this map, I think it should be helpful for you.
Forget the road from Piazzole, best to reach Mezzoldo.
If the map isn’t clear, ask there for the path to PRATI PEGHEROLO.
After 30 min. you see some fields, in front of you, down in your right near few “houses” , begins the small path to Valle Pegherolo. (there are some red signs if I remember)
The first part it’s easy but after an hour, you will have to move by your-self.

After 30 min. of hard walk in a steep side, above your head you will see L’ARCO.

thank you very much for your helpfull answers. Hopefully we can make it next spring or end of next summer.

Are there any others natural arches in this area?

Thanks
