Snow Forecast for Brembana Valley

Messaggiodi kari il Dom 18 Nov, 2007 12:19 pm

Ciao a tutti,

I decided to use english, as my italian is not very good...anyhow, how is snow situation in Val Brembana at the moment? Are there allready any snow? I have heard that e.g in Austria and Swiss the season start has been incredible: more snow than in past 10 years.

I'm asking because I'm coming from Espoo, Finland to Bergamo, Italia for the whole winter. I'm passionate snowboarder and therefore like to hear, if snow situation seems to be good or not.

Thanks for you thoughts! a_14

Hi Kari,
Welcome in the Valbrembanaweb forum by all the staff.

Actually there is not any snow in our mountain... the Alps are like a wall and stoped the clouds in Austria and Swiss ...
However don't worry the season'll start on the 7 of December and our Meteo Forecast says that next wednesday the withe lady should arrive in our mountains(over than 1 meter at 2000 m.) ....

Snow in January

Messaggiodi bashir.it il Mar 08 Gen, 2008 5:46 pm

It is finally snowing up in the mountains, so the ski season 2008 should be great this year.
Moreover Emanuele, the meteorologist of Valbrembanaweb, has predicted a new disruption for next Friday afternoon snow just over 700/800mt until Saturday morning (but in the evening over 1000 mt. caused by the hot wind Scirocco)

At 1.200 mt we expecet almost 50 cm in Foppolo 70 ...
