I regularly visit Foppolo from the UK and would like to raise a few points.
I love Foppolo, the scenery, the food, the people, the skiing and the ambiance. However for people visiting for a week or more it is very difficult to find information about things to do. On Sundays the slopes are very busy with day trippers (we have the same problem at home in the UK with people coming to the beach) and we like to do something different. On 21/3 we went down the valley to San Giovanni and were suprised to find the festival happening there, it was amazing but we had no idea it was on. In the past we have probably missed many such events as they don't seem to be advertised on a website.
Many people from the UK take holidays in mixed groups, skiers and non-skiers, they look on the internet for details of things for the non-skiers to do but this does not seem to be available for the Brembana Valley.
Similarly in the Summer where do we look for details of events? To get low cost fares to Italy people need to book well in advance and it would be nice to tie holidays in with local events. Fortunately this year there was a poster in Foppolo about the Motorcross in July and we will visit for that.
There seem to be so many plans for the future of the valley and I would love to see them succeed but I really feel more publicity is needed.
