Maaa... dire che qui si mette il bavaglio, dopo le cose trite e ritrite scritte nelle ultime pagine da molti utenti, è proprio un pò ingeneroso...

Excuse my writing in English.
I have not visited this site for a while and find it quite difficult to follow some of the discussions. Speaking as a tourist it would be very interesting to have a display somewhere about the history of Foppolo, preferably with captions in English as well as Italian as most visitors probably speak one or the other.We always find the old photographs in the Hotel Sponda fascinating and would like to know much more about the history of the area. Such a display would become a good focal point for visitors, Winter and Summer, and is something we always look for in a town or village when on holiday.

At home in Leigh-on-Sea, UK, we have an old fisherman's cottage converted into a museum about the history of the town, it's very popular with tourists and local people.

Questo dimostra come i turisti, anche e soprattutto gli stranieri, quando arrivano a Foppolo non si aspettano solo di sciare, ma vogliono un luogo vissuto, non solamente un dormitorio per sciatori.
Sono progetti che richiedono poco investimento economico, ma enorme ritorno d'immagine...inoltre, da come dice Valerie, si capisce che diverse persone sarebbero anche interessate a dare una mano gratuitamente a questi piccoli progetti...
La sensibilità e l'attenzione alle cose si vede anche da questo...

Interessante, non è un'idea difficilmente praticabile, sentirò la pro loco...

Thank you for considering my idea. I'm sure many people in Foppolo must have old photos and memorabilia of the area.
Old and new photos of the same location are always interesting, also information on local food specialities and cheese making.
Anything which stimulates interest in the area. Our local museum is run by volunteers and is also used to help educate local children

about the history of their town.

Foppolo, martedi' 7 Giugno 2011 - Piazzale Alberghi

Oggi sulla Provinciale della Valle Brembana e a Foppolo c'e' stato gran fermento quando hanno visto transitare dei mezzi pesanti con le rulliere. Saranno per la nuova seggiovia di Carona ??? oppure per la cabinovia del Montebello?? Niente di tutto questo.. il buon Aurelio (la webcam umana dell'alta valle) ci informa e ci invia immagini delle rulliere scaricate al Piazzale Alberghi di Foppolo, servono sulla seggiovia Carisole/ Valgussera in sostituzione di alcune difettate.. dunque nei prossimi giorni rivedremo il SUPER-elicottero svizzero al lavoro in zona...
